If there were to be healing,
no seminal conversation would do.
(The counselor listens, places frames
around my tears and offers tissues.)
If there were to be healing
it would take strong
searchlights of poetry
to find evidence of
where the spirit went
or the source of a steady drip
of sacramental words
from the roof of my life.
